WM (Bill) Palmer, founder of Advertiser Printing, came to Missoula on February 22, 1935 from Forsyth, Montana, to check out The University of Montana School of Business. He had sold a small business, known as the Advertiser, in Forsyth for $500 and happened to find out about a publication know as The Weekly Advertiser. At the time it was a weekly publication of things for sale, along with some local news. In 1972 his son, James W. Palmer, bought the business and WM Palmer retired. In 2000 we bought Montana Printing Company from WM Palmer's other son, Bill Thibodeau. He and his wife, JoAnn, retired from the printing business. We are now Advertiser Printing, Inc. and Montana Printing Company and are the oldest print shop in Western Montana.
